Pharrell tries to reason with PETA protestor who crashed his TIFF premiere

Pharrell Williams remained calm and collected while attempting to have a conversation with a PETA protestor.

In a statement to Variety, PETA said that the protest was intended to raise awareness about the fur industry.

"Pharrell Williams is known for his compassion and his commitment to animal rights, so we were surprised and disappointed that he chose to wear fur to the premiere of his new film," PETA said.

"We hope that Pharrell will reconsider his decision to wear fur and use his platform to promote compassion for all animals."

Williams has not yet commented on the protest.
